OBITUARY FOR ZELLA LOU DISHMAN

ZELLA LOU DISHMAN of Lake City, TN departed this life and entered into the joys of
heaven on Thursday, December 23,2010at Methodist Medical Center. She was born in
Clinton, Tennessee on May 7, 1937 and was the daughter of Clem and Molly Dishman.
She was a loving mother, a beautiful person, inside and out, with a generous heart and a
humble spirit. Zelia was of the Christian faith and belonged to Farmers Grove Baptist
Church in South Clinton, where she was organist for several years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; former husband, Rev. E. H. Nelson of Clinton;
brother, Claude Dishman of Solway; sisters, Faye Loy and Oma Lee Procise, both of
Clinton.

She is survived by her son, Marcus Nelson and his wife, Barbara, of Clinton; her
daughter, DiAnne Wilson and her husband, Greg, of Walland; her brother, Boyd
Dishman of Bristol; her sister, Etta Dishman of Clinton; grandchildren, Marcus Nelson II
and Malesha Bruce and great-grandchild, Isaac Bruce, all of Clinton; special friend,
Kenneth Wiggins of Clinton; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

She owned and operated "Little Bit's Deli" and "The Deli Shed" in Andersonville, TN for many
years. She was also employed by Modine, ETHRA and was a school bus driver for Anderson County Schools.
Zella loved music, particularly sacred hymns and Christmas music, and enjoyed singing, playing the piano and accordion. She enjoyed gardening and creative pursuits such as arts and crafts, painting and crocheting.

The family would like to send a special blessing of thanks to Dr. Mary J. Misischia and her compassionate staff at the Thompson Oncology Group, as well as the competent medical professionals at Methodist Medical Center, including Dr. Gavin, Dr. Lovelace and nurses,
Emily, Christy and Amy.


The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2010
at Holly Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m.
with Rev. Joe Copeland officiating and music by son-in-law, Greg
Wilson, and cousin Carolyn Johnson. Interment will be at Farmers Grove Baptist Church
in South Clinton on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10:30a.m.
