Zannie Stanley Barrington
Barrington, Zannie Stanley-age 87 passed away on Monday morning, April 2, 2012 in Clinton, Tennessee.
Mrs. Barrington was a member of First Baptist Church and in later years became a member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, in the Dutch Valley community. She was a graduate of the New Orleans Seminary, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Zannie spent a great deal of time teaching adults and children about the bible. She was an accomplished cook, and enjoyed sharing her recipes with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stella and William Stanley; sisters, Polly Price, Peggy Tidgen, and Georgia Wolf. Mrs. Barrington is survived by her husband, Reverend Herschel P. Barrington, the past Director of Missions for the Clinton Southern Baptist Association, and after retirement, the pastor at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Herschel and Kay Barrington, Ben and Theresa Barrington, a brother William (Billy) Stanley, six grandchildren, four great- grand children, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a Memorial Service held at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, Tennessee on Tuesday, April 10th for Mrs. Barrington. Reverend Kirk Wallace will be officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel at Holley-Gamble from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, with the Service immediately following.
