Wilma Patricia Shoun, age 84, passed away on May 21, 2025, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.  She was born on September 22, 1940, in Roxboro, North Carolina to the late Bernard and Wilma Loftis.

In her spare time, Wilma enjoyed watching murder mysteries. She often joked that she had missed her calling to be a detective. Wilma also loved a good, hearty southern meal with a big slice of cornbread. She often would eat a pan of cornbread a day. The one thing that brought Wilma so much joy was her two cats, Sally and Patches. Wilma loved her cats so much and looked forward to taking care of them every day.

Wilma is preceded in death by her, parents, Bernard and Wilma Loftis; husband, Doyle Shoun, and son, Curtis Scott Woods.

She is survived by her step-son, Doyle Shoun Jr.; step-daughter, Loretta Trent; sister, Phyllis Hutchinson; step-grandchildren, Alisha (Andrew) Berger, Sasha (Derek) Ciuffini; niece, Mitzi (Gary) Parsons; Nephew, Todd and Sharon Hutchinson; as well as a host of many other great nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will have a private graveside service at Norris Memorial Garden. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.  holleygamble.com
