Willie Maude "Peanut" Phillips/Rector, age 83 of Clinton passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at NHC Healthcare Center in Oak Ridge.  She was born September 3, 1935 in Anderson County, TN to the late Callie R. Phillips and Macy N. Holbert Phillips.  She graduated from Norris High School in 1954. Throughout her life she loved shopping, watching TV, sewing, and reading the newspaper.  She was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church in Clinton, TN and later became a member of Old Way Baptist Church. Prior to retirement she worked at Magnet Mills in Clinton, St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville, and retired from Martin Marietta in Oak Ridge, TN after several years of service.  In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Karen Rector; sister, J. Louise Phillips Strong.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home.  Her funeral service will follow in the chapel with Rev.
