William "Kyle" Thornton, age 33 of Heiskell passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, and now has a glorified body and is home at last. The first steps he took were straight into the arms of his Savior. Kyle loved deer hunting, dirt track racing (especially Anthony White and Brian Hook's team), and stripping copper wire, but above all, he enjoyed talking. Kyle never met a stranger, he touched many people's lives and always made an impression wherever he went. Kyle cherished his time being a volunteer fireman at the Claxton Fire Department.

Kyle will be missed by so many people. He will be remembered for his loving heart, and sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ollie Hooks, and Rev. Farley Hooks; paternal grandparents, Bill and Dolly Thornton; aunt, Mabel "Ruth" Thornton; uncle, Wendall Thornton; his crazy and loving brother, Willie.

He is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Brenda Thornton; sister, Sonya Keith & husband Jerry, Breana Egbert, and Esther Egbert; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Friday, May 12, 2023, at Holley Gamble Funeral. His funeral service will follow in the chapel with Rev. Justin Howard and Rev. Robby Owens officiating. Friends and family will meet at Holley Gamble Funeral Home, at 10:15 am, Saturday, and proceed to Woodhaven Memorial Garden for an 11:00 am graveside.
