William E. Roberts, age 86 of Briceville, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Clinton. He was born on August 5, 1930 to the late Flossie and John Roberts in Middlesboro, KY. He was a member of Briceville Church of God. While serving in the Army he was deployed to Germany as a Tank Mechanic. He also worked for Swisher Coal Company for thirty years. He loved hunting and fishing and telling stories. Most of all, he loved his family and friends. He will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughters, Nancy Hatmaker and Penny Wilson.

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm with the Rev. Donnie Douglas and Rev. Devin Barnette officiating. Family and friends wishing to go to the graveside service will meet at the funeral home on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10:30am and will go in funeral procession to the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton for an 11:00AM entombment with full military honors presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard. www.holleygamble.com
