Williams Frederick May, age 84, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017. He graduated from UT Knoxville with a Master's Degree in Science later earning his Ph.D. in Philosophy. He had a 35 year career at Y-12. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid reader.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Stella; and brother "Buddy".
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; daughters, Vicki, Tracy and Lisa.
A graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in his name to Oak Ridge Animal Shelter.
