William "Bill" Hugh Ross, age 73, of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Methodist Medical Center after an unexplained illness. He loved attending soccer games, swim lessons, fishing with the boys, playing football with them, taking them to the park, and out to eat. He was the very best granddaddy anyone could ask for. Bill had a wonderful sense of humor, loved talking to people, and was generous to all those he cared about. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, and friends.
He is survived by his wife Ann Grace Ross, his daughter, Beth Ross Piller and husband Jason; grandsons, Brantley Ross Piller and Ryan Douglas Piller; sister, Betty Ross Sellers & husband Leslie; brother, Bob Ross; nieces and nephews, Sara Ross, Jared Ross & wife Amy, Brenna Balsinger & husband Jeremy, Ben Sellers & wife Crystal, and Brad Sellers & wife Lydia.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Manisha Thakur and Dr. Michael Thompson who provided excellent care to him over the years as well as friendship. The family also wants to thank the medical staff at Methodist Medical Center for the excellent care during his illness.
The family will receive friends 3:00-5:00 pm, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. His Celebration of Life service will follow in the chapel with Fisher Rogers officiating.
