Obituary

William (Bill) G. Revis age 77, passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2021.

Bill leaves behind his blushing bride of 59 years, Mary (Moses) Revis.  Surviving are three children, Pamela Tramontana, Michele (Keith) Sullivan, and William (Erica Goodwin) Revis as well as four grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley Schmidt) Coster, Katie (Rob Dakes) Coster, Ashlee Sullivan, and Tyler Sullivan (Ben DeLeon), and one great-grandson, Lliam Coster.

He is also survived by four sisters, Dorothy (late Glen) Mason, Jean Ratkovich, Nancy (late Robert) Eierman, and Leeann Revis, brother-in-law Arnold (Norma) Moses. Bill was a loving uncle, cousin, and dear friend to many.

Bill is proceeded in death by an infant daughter, Cindy Revis, parents Bud and Billie Revis, son-in-law, Dr. Raul Tramontana, brothers Robert (Teresa) Revis and Gerald Revis, sisters Linda (Bruce) Landini and Jackie (Manny) Colon, Sisters-in-law Dorothy (late Ray) Mannon and Barbara (late Harmon) Hall.

Bill was born in Chicago, graduated from Chicago Vocational High School, and De Paul University.  Bill worked with his Dad and brother Bob at the Revis and Sons Garage, as well as  General Mills in South Chicago, from which he retired after 30 years of service. He served as the Lynwood Police and Fire Commissioner, and was on the City of Lynwood Planning Commission for many years.

Bill may have lived in Tennessee for the last 26 years, but if you ask him where he was from, his answer would be Chicago.  He was a fan of all Chicago sports teams - except for the White Sox, of course - but he loved his Chicago Cubs.  Bill loved watching westerns, old movies, collecting watches, and could answer every double jeopardy question without fail.

Bill loved his family, gave the best hugs, and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 27,2021 from 2:00-4:00 pm with a Celebration of Life to follow.
