William “Bill” Harold Bailey, age 68, of Clinton, TN passed away on August 9, 2026. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Born on November 3, 1957, in Knoxville, Tennessee, William was the son of Thomas and Jerri Bailey. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to those around him.
William was known for his quick wit and humor, often bringing smiles to those fortunate enough to be in his presence. A man of great kindness and generosity, he was always attuned to the needs of others, offering assistance and comfort wherever he could. His servant's heart was evident in every aspect of his life, as he embodied compassion and empathy in all his interactions.
An entrepreneur at heart, William successfully owned and operated a landscaping business, a testament to his hard work and passion for nature. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his enthusiasm for Tennessee football, where he could often be found cheering on his favorite team with unwavering support. William also enjoyed poker. He would spend many evenings with his buddies for company and friendly competition.
In his free time, William was a professional at tinkering in the garage, always finding joy in creating and fixing things. He had a natural curiosity and talent for understanding how things worked, which he shared generously with those around him.
Above all, William cherished his family and friends. A devoted family man, he treasured the time spent with his loved ones, creating countless memories filled with laughter and love. His legacy of warmth and kindness will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
William is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Bailey and Jerri Miller Bailey; beloved son, Nathan Phillips; beloved daughter, Stephanie Bailey; and his brother, Tom Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Bailey, whom he loved and cherished; his son, Aaron Bailey and fiancé Danielle; grandchildren, Allison Tedder, Breanna Phillips, and Coleson Bailey; as well as many family and friends who loved him dearly.
Services are as follows:
Visitation: Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home from 3-5 PM.
