Willard Carl Brock, Sr., passed away April 22, 2010 of Cancer, at the home of his daughter in Greeneville, TN. He was born February 2, 1925 to the late Joe and Cleva Brock in Clinton, TN. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1943 and was inducted into the Army shortly thereafter. While in the Army, he served in Italy, France, Germany and Austria, as a machine gunner in Company H 7th Infantry Regiment of the 3rd Infantry Division. He attended both Knoxville Business College and the University of Tennessee. He retired from the Nuclear Division of Union Carbide Corporation K-25 plant in February, 1984 as the plant's Material Specialist. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Okle Branscome Brock and his second wife, Ann Hagood Brock; son, Willard Carl Brock, Jr. and sister, Wilma Simpson.

He is survived by two daughters, Sandra and husband Mark Gianneschi of Ellicott City, MD and Cleva and husband Dr. Ed Claiborne of Greeneville, TN; grandchildren, Joseph B. Brock, Sara Brock, Al Claiborne, Megan Gianneschi and Heather Claiborne. He is also survived by sister, Juanita Farmer and brother and sister-in-law, Erwin and Mary Brock all of Clinton, and brother, J. B. Brock of Kenasaw, GA and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a very special and dear friend, Nancy Duncan of Powell, TN and two step sons, David Hagood of Chuckey, TN and John Hagood of Oak Ridge, TN. The family expresses deep thanks and appreciation to Mary Badenhope, Elizabeth Melmer and Caris of Greeneville, for the kindness, great care and respect given to Willard and the family during his illness.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers any memorials be made to the Television Ministry of Central Baptist Church, 130 Providence Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830 or the American Cancer Society.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 12:00 - 2:00 at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 2:00PM in the chapel. Graveside services and interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
