Wesley Monroe Johnson, age 68, of Knoxville passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Wesley was a veteran of the United States Army. Wesley was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and attended Trinity Baptist Church. He was born February 18, 1948 in Anderson County, TN to the late Harley and Gladys Johnson. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Rachel Johnson, brother, Paul Johnson; sister, Colleen Seals.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services to follow in the chapel. His graveside will be 11:00 am, Friday at Mt.
