Wendell Andrew (W.A) Less 80 of Clinton passed away on March 20, 2011 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living of Clinton after long illness. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Clinton He retired from Martin Marietta Y-12, where he was a mechanical engineer. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed all sports. He served on the design team during the construction of the Clinton Recreation Center. He was a veteran during the Korean conflict serving in the Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Helen Less of Canfield, Ohio.
Survivors include: Wife of 55 years, Margaret Queener Less of Clinton.
Son, Dale and daughter-in-law, Karen of Valdese, North Carolina and
Daughter, Karen and son-in-law Gene of Dallas, Texas; Grandsons, Cameron and Kendall of Dallas, Texas; Brother, Loren & wife Jerry of Canfield, Ohio
Several nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Clinton First Baptist Church from 6-8p.m. Services will follow at 8p.m. at the church. His family and friends will gather at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home and the interment with military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard will take place at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Norris Memorial Gardens. Pastors Stan Elliott and Terry Baker of First Baptist Clinton will be officiating.Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
