Wendell Shane Herrin's Obituary

Wendell Shane Herrin, took his last breath but his first embrace with Jesus on May 1, 2019.

Preceded in death his Mother and Step-Father, Suzanne and Henry Taylor; Grandparents, Ervin

Hassel and Theette Gilliam and Enos and Edith Herrin; Uncles, Richard Gilliam and Doyle Herrin and Cousin John

Gilliam. Shane leaves behind a son, Brad Herrin of Clinton, TN. While the relationship was

estranged, Shane loved him with everything that he had and thought of him every single day

that he drew breath. He carried a heavy heart not being able to have a relationship with him.

In addition to his son, Shane also leaves behind his girl friend, Theresa Martin, who he loved

deeply and also his father, Wendell Herrin. Shane leaves behind many siblings: His sisters, Angela Wilson and her husband, Terry,

Heather Holbrook, and Christina Carpenter; His brothers, Leeshaun Taylor and wife, Jessica,

and Shaquille Taylor and fiancé, Alisha, and Adian Taylor; uncles, Glen Herrin, Morris Herrin & wife Sandra;

One of Shane's greatest joys was fishing and gardening. This joy carried over into him teaching

his nieces and nephew how to do the things he loved so much. Shane's beautiful nieces are:

Aleigha Carpenter, Cailyn Taylor, Lexi Taylor, Taylor Phillips, and Henlee Taylor. Shane's

outdoorsy nephews are: Tallis Taylor, Bentley Phillips, and Jayven Taylor.

Shane poured his heart into every child that he came into contact with in his life. Many of you

reading this have children who were drawn to Shane and wanted to help him in whatever task

he was doing. He really was a simple man with a safe spirit and will be greatly missed.

Shane also leaves behind his Aunt Jackie Gilliam, cousins Jill and Tom Lemire and Rick Gilliam;

Aunt Nancy Gilliam; Uncle Buster and Aunt Sandra Gilliam, cousins Devin and Nita Gilliam,

Beth and Paul Chisenhaul, Lori and Travis Burchett, Crystal Irwin Hayes, Rick Herrin, & Ryan Herrin;

Uncle John and Aunt Liz Gilliam and

cousin Angie and Gregory Clark.

Shane had many friends who loved him over the years. One family in particular, who holds a

special place to his family's heart is Judy Daugherty her children: Timothy Dwayne Daugherty

(TJ); Johnathan Daugherty and his son, Colby; Nicholas Daugherty; Amanda Daugherty and

son, Carter.

Shane's family would like to invite you to his Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 25

1-3pm at Holley Gamble Funeral Home, in Clinton TN. All are welcome.
