Don (Weldon) Cooke of Clinton, TN passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at his home. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend. Don was born in Montreal Canada in 1929 and he graduated from Sir George Williams College and retired from the National Gypsum Company. He then earned a second BA in fine arts from the University of TN. A true renaissance man, he loved art, building, home improvement, cooking, and was passionate about everything he did. Don is preceded in death by his daughter Susan and his parents Selwyn and Irene. His is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janice Holman, his children Peter and John Cooke, Steven Levasseur and Katie Boedeker and his loyal canine companions Max and Lola. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Matt, Erin, and Ryan Cooke, and Ben and Jake Boedeker. His family wishes to express thanks to Dr. Melody Tharp and staff at Summit Medical group in Clinton and to the Amedysis Hospice of Knoxville. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 on Tuesday the 20th of March at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
