Wayne Fox, age 86, of Knoxville, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.  Wayne was born November 26, 1938, in Pennsylvania to the late Lawrence and Gladys Fox. He was a devoted husband to Linda and a loving father to his daughters, Lisa and Laura. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He retired from SAIC as an electrical engineer after 20-plus years of service.  Throughout his life, he enjoyed woodworking, playing short-stop for his church league softball team, and coaching girls' softball at Kerns United Methodist Church, where his daughter Laura also played.  He also loved any sporting event in which he and his grandson were involved, and his great-grandchildren were the light of his life.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Fox, and daughter, Lisa Manasek.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Fox Mattingly & husband John of Raleigh, NC; grandson, Shane Fox & wife Heather of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Cole and Stella Fox of Knoxville; brother, Bruce Fox & wife Dianne of Anaheim, CA; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm, Monday, June 23, 2025, at Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church in Karns.  His Celebration of Life service will follow with Pastor Teresa McClure officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Wounded Warriors or Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church Building Fund.  Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.  Holleygamble.com
