Wanda Lee McCallister Hicks Smelcer, age 84, passed away December 6, 2013, at her daughter's residence in Maryville. She was a member of Clinton Church of Christ. She worked many years at Standard Knitting Mills and then became a LPN and worked for Fort Sanders Regional Hospital until her retirement. Wanda enjoyed quilting, crocheting and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Millard Hicks; second husband, Lloyd Smelcer; parents, Benjamin Franklin and Minnie Belle Bailey McCallister; infant daughters, Sharon and Karen Hicks; son in-law, Joe Allen Tarwater; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
