Obituary

Wanda Lucille Rhea, age 86 of Clinton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday morning, November 15th, 2025. She was a faithful member of Blowing Springs Baptist Church. Wanda made a life-changing decision as a teenager when she accepted Jesus into her heart.

Wanda loved the simple joys God gave her. In the summertime, you could often find her outside with Doug, working together in their garden or spending time in the paint shop. She loved her family deeply, and she loved her dogs just as dearly. One of the ways she showed love was through her cooking. Her potato salad and green beans were well-loved by everyone, and every New Year's Day she prepared greens, hog jowl, black-eyed peas, and cornbread—a tradition that will always bring warm memories to her family.

Today, her family rests in the peace of knowing that Wanda is healed, whole and in the presence of Jesus.

The family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and nurses who cared for Wanda with such kindness and compassion.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Edna Webber; brothers, Bobby and Jimmy Webber; son, Wayne Ellis and infant daughter.

She is survived by her husband, Doug; children, Vicki Gilmore (Rick), Mike Ellis (Lori), and Gary Ellis (Courtney); daughters-in-love, Bess Lowery and Kathy Ellis; nieces, Tami Rhea & Tina Brown; brother, Ricky Webber; grandchildren-Jason McCollum, Casey Prater (John), Beth Higgins (Jon), Brooke Ellis, Blair Martin (Brian), Justin Ellis (Kelsey), Gavin Ellis (Angel), and Meghan Ellis-and great-grandchildren-Bryant Prater, Lola Ellis, Grayson Prater, Arabella Ellis, Baylor Higgins, Bryson Ellis, Belle Higgins, Barron Ellis, Boone Ellis and Wren Ellis.

Wanda touched the lives of so many, and her legacy will continue in the hearts of her family and everyone who knew her. We honor her life, we thank God for the gift of her presence among us, and we look forward to the day when we will see her again.
