Volena Grace Justice Back, age 92 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in the loving care of her family at her daughters home in Powder Springs, GA.

Born October 31, 1927 to Louis and Minnie (Gamble) Justice, she was a wonderful wife to her husband, Frederick Landis Back and loving mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Volena was a member of New York Avenue Church of Christ.

Volena is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Minnie Justice, husband Fred Back, daughter Rita Back Summers, and son-in-law Leroy Summers; brothers, Clifton Justice of Knoxville, TN, Fred Justice of Indiana, Hubert Justice of Jacksonville, FL, Boyd Justice and Harvey Ralph Justice both of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Sara Beulah Justice of Knoxville, TN and Juanita Ruth Justice of Tipp City, OH;
She is survived by her son, Steven Ray Back and wife Kim of Clinton, TN; daughter, Peggy Sue Back and husband Donald Hight of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren, Angela Stokes Page and husband Randall and Amie Stokes Davis both of Clinton, TN, Joshua William Fowler and wife Amanda and Justin Blake Fowler and wife Audra both of Kingston Springs, TN, and Natosha Back Ledbetter and husband Nathan of Graysville, TN; great grandchildren, Buddy Alan Page, Jordan Thomas Page, Jackson Stephen Davis, Dorothy Grace Fowler, Madison Lynn Fowler, Kathleen Sue Fowler, Charlotte May Fowler Graham Noah Ledbetter and Hannah Mae Ledbetter.

The family would like to recognize Volena's special caregivers, Kerry and Randy Basham, with whom made it possible to keep her home until her passing.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 3, 2020 from 10 to 11 AM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 11 am with Charles Williams officiating. The family will proceed to Oak Ridge Memorial Park for interment immediately following the service. www.holleygamble.com
