Violet Evelyn Satterfield Massengill, age 83, of Powell passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010. She was a registered nurse graduating from Fort Sanders Nursing Program on July 16, 1949. She worked in surgery at Fort Sanders then transferred to Oak Ridge Hospital where she worked until she retired in 1995.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Massengill; parents, Lydia & Jap Satterfield.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela S. Clabough & husband Lynn and grandson, Christopher N. Clabough; son, Luke Anthony "Tony" Massengill and special friend, Sylvia England; sister, Joyce Tucker, several nieces & nephews, and special caregiver, Joanna Williams.
