Violet Dockery Jennings, age 89 of Clinton, TN went home to meet her Heavenly Father on February 3 of 2016.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton. Her life was filled with gardening, canning, and loving her husband Reuel and sons David and Thomas and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Reuel, her mother and father Nettie and Rollen Dockery, siblings Beecher Dockery, Jerry Dockery, Charles Dockery, R.L. Dockery, G.M. Dockery, Bobby Dockery, Lucille Dockery McMahan, Douglas McArthur Dockery and Betty Dockery. Also, in-laws Betty and Zenith Jennings, Mary Ellen Hill Dockery, Barbara Jennings Dockery, Virginia Myers Dockery, Carl McMahan, Pink Evans, Paul Jennings, Charles Jennings, John and Ruth Cecil, Dorothy and Tom Richardson, Robert and Louise Walker and Lora Lee Jennings.
She is survived by her son David Jennings and wife Patty, son Thomas Jennings, grandson Adam Jennings, granddaughter Ashlee Mathis and husband Mike, great-grandchildren Mike Jr. and Megan, siblings L.V. Evans and Ernest Dockery, also in-laws Judy Dockery, Reba Dockery, Mary Dockery Cook, Bessie Dockery, Evelyn Dockery, Sam and Hilda Jennings and Ruby Jennings.
The family will receive friends at Holley-Gamble Funeral home in Clinton on February 6, 2016 from 11:00-1:00 pm with Pastor Gary Swaggerty officiating.
