Verna Moore, age 71 of Lake City, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, December 9, 2010. Verna was born on August 19, 1939 to the late Rufus and Georgia Moore. Verna was an avid University of Tennessee Lady Vols Fan. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and going bowling.
In addition to her parents, Verna is preceded in death by her infant sister, Glenda Sue Moore

The family will receive friends at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 6-8PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with the Rev. David Triplett officiating. Family and friends will meet at the Leach Cemetery in Lake City on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 1:00PM for Verna's graveside service.
