Verdie Geneve Crutchfield, age 91 of Powell, passed away February 23, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of Valley View United Methodist Church. Mrs. Crutchfield was a retired school teacher and worked for the Knox County School System.

Preceded in death by her husband, Ben Crutchfield; parents, Alexander and Gracie Cline; brothers, Alonzo, Kenneth and Athel; sisters, Ethel and Violet Jean; great grandson, Ryan Aiden Peters.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 28th from 5-7 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Paige Wimberly officiating.
