Vaughn A. Nichols, age 77 of Clinton passed away on April 11, 2016. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Boom Operator after 20 years of service. He was a Courier for DOE in Oak Ridge and Clinton City 911 dispatcher. Throughout his life he loved to fish and camp at Norris Lake and other lakes across the nation. Preceded by his parents, Otto and Katherine Nichols.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. His funeral service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Oak Ridge with Rev. Craig Callio, Rev. R.J. Powell, and Rev. Boyd Evans officiating. His graveside service will follow at the Grandview Memorial Garden with full military honors at graveside.
