Vandetta (Godfrey) Jones, age 94, of Clinton, passed away April 10, 2016 at NHC Healthcare of Oak Ridge. "Our mother finally got her wish. She is now with her Lord God, husband, Jimmie and daughter, Carolyn."
Preceded in death by her parents, George and Sally Godfrey; husband, James F. Jones; daughter, Carolyn Jones; grandson, Robert Kevin Jones; all brothers and sisters.
Survivors include sons, James F. Jones Jr. and wife Sandra, Robert L. Jones and wife Hannah, Gary L. Jones and wife Theresa; daughter, Judy Towns and husband Harvey; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Harriman Baptist Tabernacle, P.O. Box 575, Harriman, TN 37748.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, April 13th from 1:30-3:30PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. James F. Jones, Jr. officiating.
