Tyhie Anthawn Gorman, 36, of Oak Ridge, peacefully gained his angel wings on August 23, 2024, at his home. He was the son of Kim Dowdell and Darrell Gorman and was born July 12, 1988, in Oak Ridge, TN.

Tyhie grew up in Clinton, Tennessee. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and sang in the church choir. Anytime you saw Tyhie, he always had a smile on his face. He was creative and loved to stand out. Tyhie loved fashion, creativity, and spoiling his niece.  You could often find him watching the sunset on a beautiful day.  Tyhie will be remembered for his sense of humor and the love he shared with his family and close friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Kim Dowdell; father, Darrell Gorman; sisters, Taniya Smith and Kailan Gorman; grandmother, Sharon Dowdell; uncle, Byron "Big B" Dowdell; niece, CaLaya "Lay Lay"; goddaughter, Tayonna Brown; lifelong friends, Stacy Smith, Tracy Smith, and Chabrelle "Chay" Haigler; several aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Tyhie's service will immediately follow in the chapel, with Rev. Ernest Scruggs officiating. In memory of Tyhie, the family asks everyone to wear orange for his service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holley Gamble Funeral Home, P.O.
