Anthony Ray Peterson passed away suddenly Thursday June 1,2017 at the age of 47. He was born in Chicago, IL but eventually made his home here in East TN. Tony graduated from Rutledge High School in 1988 and soon after that enlisted into the United States Navy, completing almost 8 years and serving on two tours in Iraq as a corpsman. Not too long after returning home Tony found his passion in fishing, hunting and softball. Soon after, he met his wife through softball and they spent a thrill ride like no other for the next twenty years. He resided with his wife Rebecca Dawn Tibbs Peterson and children Alexus Peterson 17 years old and Madison Peterson 19 years old in Caryville, TN. Tony worked at what would've been 19 years at Techmer PM and made many many memories and friends. Tony is preceded in death by his mother Sandra Gail Peterson, Grandmother Nellie Jones and Grandpa Jones. He is survived in death by his beloved wife Rebecca, daughter Alexus, son Madison and animals Coco, Bella, Luna and Talula. Sister Charlotte Helton and brother Matt "Poppy" Helton, nieces Chantelle Goodman and Monica Goodman. Nephews Cody Goodman, Ethan Helton and Burnout Jackson. His father Ronald Peterson. Sister Jennifer Reeser and two nephews Landon and Dylan Reeser. Also survived by Great nephew Carter Goodman. Brother Adam Bullock and friend Jessica Lovely. Special Father Larry Tibbs and wife Glenna Tibbs. He is also survived by multiple non blood sisters and brothers as well, Emily and Aubrey Chapman, Tracy Fisher and Sandra Hatfield. Benji Braden, John Earl And too many more to name. Receiving of friends will be held at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Rocky Top on Monday June 5, 2017 from 6-8pm. Followed by a Celebration of Life.
