In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his only daughter, Vickie: Brothers: Arnold, Eugene, J.D., Carl, and Charles; Sisters: Willa Mae, Gladys, and LeOpal. After some early years working in the coal mines of Anderson County, Tom and family moved to Cleveland, OH, returning in 1965. His automotive service career encompassed the former "Edgemoor 66" in Claxton, the former "Clinton Shell" on Main Street in Clinton, and he was a co-owner / co-founder of the former "Clinton Recapping" in South Clinton.

The family would like to thank the team of Covenant Hospice, especially Ayn and Sharon, for their compassionate care during the past few months.

The family will receive friends and family from 6:00-8:00 pm, followed by a funeral service, on Thursday January 31, 2013, at Holly-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City, TN.
