Thomas E. Rhoads, age 64, of Claxton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Methodist Medical Center. He was born on September 8, 1951 in Oliver Springs, Tennessee to the late John L. Rhoads Sr. and Bettie Clark Rhoads. Thomas was a member of the Valley View United Methodist Church in Claxton. Thomas was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam and then retired from TVA after 40 years of service. He was a member of the GWRRA-Chapter B. In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by Father and Mother-in-law, Thomas and Stella Laughlin; Sister, Dianne Rhoads; Brothers, John L. Rhoads Jr. and Steve Rhoads

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 5-7PM with the funeral service to follow 7:00PM with the Pastor Paige Wimberley officiating. Thomas's graveside will be held at the Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 1:00PM with full military honors presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
