Terry Lynn Justice of Andersonville passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at ParkWest Hospital on 11.30.2024. Terry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lynn (Phillips) Justice; bonus son Robbie Steen of Andersonville, bonus son Dillon Steen (Paige) of Chattanooga; brother Kenneth Justice of Oliver Springs, sister Tencia (Debbie) Justice of Oliver Springs; grandchildren Emily Justice Dixon (Westley) of Clinton, Savannah Justice of Clinton, and Ethan Justice of Andersonville; great grandchildren Brentley Green of Rocky Top, Brooklynn Hayden, and Bryson Dixon of Clinton; cherished surrogate daughter Marvyl Garnier (Chris) and daughter Noelle Garnier of Charleston, SC; a host of nieces and nephews; best friend from high school David Chadwick of Peoria, IL.

Terry was preceded in death by his first wife Linda (Carter) Justice; son Brian Justice; parents Dean Justice and Agnes (Lowe) Justice; sister Peggy (Justice) Gibson, brother Jerry Justice (Monday); great- granddaughter DeMyah Oxendine; and best friend HM Phillips.

Terry was born in Graves Gap, TN, on May 4, 1950. Shortly after his birth, his family relocated to Oliver Springs where he was raised with his two brothers, Kenneth and Jerry, and his two sisters, Peggy and Debbie. Terry graduated from Oliver Springs High School in 1970.

Terry and his first wife Linda were married in 1971. After their son Brian was born, they moved to Clinton to be close to her parents, Bobby and Jo Carter. Tragically, Linda passed away in 1991. Terry and Lynn began dating in 1994 and were married on December 30th the same year. Terry lived the remainder of his life in Andersonville with Lynn and her two sons, Robbie and Dillon. Terry was a wonderful stepfather to his bonus sons. They came to address him as Dad.

Terry Lynn Justice was the epitome of a Renaissance man. There was no challenge too great for him if he set his mind to it—especially with a Diet Coke in hand. From a young age, Terry exhibited an innate talent for sports. A gifted football player in high school, his love for sports continued throughout his life. Whether it was basketball, bowling, or golf, Terry remained active and enjoyed the camaraderie that sports brought.

Terry was a man of many skills—if something was broken, he could fix it. His expertise ranged from electrical work and plumbing to troubleshooting mechanical problems. Terry could repair nearly anything. His craftsmanship was evident in the beautiful porches, barns, and home extensions he built, as well as in the imaginative woodworking projects that brought Lynn's creative visions to life. Additionally, while Lynn was teaching, Terry used his talents to help create magical worlds for the drama department by building sets for their productions.

Terry's talents were not confined to the workshop. He was the life of any party, especially when music was involved. Whether it was the Two-Step, the Tennessee Waltz, or his beloved disco, Terry loved to dance. No matter the occasion, if there was a dance floor, Terry was sure to be there, enjoying the moment and spreading joy to everyone around him.

However, Terry's greatest accomplishment was being a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Lynn. Together, they created a beautiful and loving marriage, founded on respect, support, and happiness. For 30 years, Terry was Lynn's biggest supporter, always encouraging her creative pursuits and cheering her on in all that she did. The life they built together was filled with love, family, and their loyal dogs, including Terry's best friend, Todd, who now joins him in Heaven. Terry found immense joy in his life with Lynn, and though he is no longer physically with her, every part of him lives on in the wonderful life they shared.

Terry was truly one of a kind. He had a warmth and kindness that radiated from him, greeting everyone he met with a smile. He saw the good in others and had a heart full of compassion. A devoted family man, Terry cherished his loved ones and was a true friend to those fortunate enough to know him. He was always the first to offer a helping hand, and his loyalty, honesty, and forgiveness made him a role model for his children and grandchildren. To those he helped, Terry was a hero; to Lynn, he was a husband like no other.

Though the world mourns the loss of such an extraordinary man, those whose lives he touched are forever better for having known him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he changed, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling him family and friend.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Holley Gamble Funeral Home on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM, with a service beginning at 7:00 PM.
