Obituary

Susan Paulette Jones, age 60, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday July 21, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Clinton. She was born on April 16, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Arnold and Mildred Anteau. Susan had been a floral designer for many years, but most recently worked for Cracker Barrel in Knoxville. Susan had a great sense of humor and loved people. She had an enormous love for dogs and rescued many over the years. Susan loved the mountains of East Tennessee and the simple, peaceful life she lived here. Even after the death of her husband, she chose to stay and live here, much to her children's dismay. Susan was often heard commenting that God had painted the mountains and sunsets in Tennessee just for her. She had a great compassion and spiritual side which she showed to her closest friends. She was often told what a great friend she was and will be missed by those who took the time to know her.
In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by her loving husband Bill Jones, Infant Daughter; Infant granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Jones; Grandparents, Arnold Sr. and Eldora Anteau Morris and Cordelia Johnson; Mother and father in law, Levi and Nanny Jones; Brother in law, Virgil Jones; Sister in law, Bonnie Senters; Special aunt and uncle, George and Augusta Goebbel.
