Obituary

Stephanie Lynn Farris August 19, 1974 – July 29, 2026

Stephanie Lynn Farris, age 51, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Words cannot fully describe the impact she had on those around her. She was a beautiful, sweet, generous, and compassionate woman who offered friendship, comfort, and a shoulder to lean on to anyone in need.

Stephanie was a devoted and loving mother to her children, Autumn Lynn Farris, Brittany Nicole Huddleston and husband Jacob, and Christopher John Henry Farris. She was also a proud and adoring grandmother to Maddox, Haven-Lee, Caden, and Liam. Her children and grandchildren were deeply loved, and she cared for them with an unconditional, motherly love that could fill any home, no matter how big or small.

She was the beloved daughter of Pamela Ray Smith and Johnny Ray Jansen and a loving sister to Adam Wade Smith and Brandy Nicole Townsell.

For 17 wonderful years, Stephanie shared her life with her loving companion, Richard McBrayer. Although they were not married, they shared a life filled with tremendous love, devotion, and care.

Stephanie earned an associate's degree in medical billing and coding from UMA. However, her greatest accomplishment was the love and compassion she showed to everyone she knew. She always opened her heart and home without hesitation. It did not matter who someone was or where they came from—everyone was welcome.

Her children’s friends always knew they had someone looking out for them. Stephanie would feed them, laugh with them, fuss at them when they needed it, and love them as though they were her own. She was a mother figure to many and made everyone who entered her home feel like family.

Although those she leaves behind will deeply mourn her loss, Stephanie would want everyone to continue moving forward, remain strong, and hold tightly to the memories they shared. Her family finds comfort in knowing they will see her again someday in a beautiful place.

Stephanie’s loving heart, generous spirit, and unwavering compassion will never be forgotten.

The family will have a private graveside service.
