Stanley E. (Buddy) Guy, age 90 of Clinton, born October 24, 1922 in Coalfield, TN to William Mack and Lilly Guy, joined his beloved wife Mable on January 10, 2013, in their Heavenly home.
He was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and a retired local business owner in Clinton. Buddy was a US Army veteran and was proud to have served his country during War World II where he received the Purple Heart for his bravery and devoted actions. He served in Japan and Germany. He never lost pride in our great country and never passed the American Flag or another serviceman or veteran without saluting in respect.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Guy; parents; daughter, Tosca Strain; sisters, Marjorie Oreck, Thelma Roe and Wilma Senders; brothers, Paul and Billie Guy.

14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren who were the love of his life

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 12th from 5-7PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Garvan Walls and Dr. Michael Thompson officiating. Graveside service will be Sunday, January 13th at 2 PM at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamblefh.com
