It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived that we announce the passing of Rev. Shirley Jean Pruitt, a beacon of love and strength in our family, who departed this world on March 10, 2026, at the age of 67. Shirley passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and faith.

Shirley's life was a testament to her unwavering devotion to her family and her faith. She married the love of her life, William "Bill" Pruitt, and together they built a life rich with love, laughter, and shared dreams.

A woman of deep faith, Shirley was an ordained minister and dedicated member of New Hope Holiness. Her commitment to her spiritual community was evident in her joyful participation in church activities, particularly her love for singing hymns alongside her husband, Bill. Her voice, full of grace and devotion, was a source of comfort and inspiration to many. Shirley's passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. She found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as casting a line into the water on a quiet fishing day or creating intricate crochet designs. These hobbies, along with her unwavering faith, provided solace and a sense of purpose throughout her life.

Shirley is preceded in death by her mother, Beulah Briggs; Husband, William "Bill" Pruitt; daughter-in-law, Tiffany Pruitt; Son-in-law, Chris Seiber; Brothers, Robert Briggs, Johnell Briggs, and AG Briggs; Mother-in-law, Juanita Harris; and father-in-law, John Robert Harris.

She is survived by her sons, William Lynn Pruitt and Jeremy Dewayne Pruitt; daughters, Michelle Dalton (Brandon) and Alisa Ann Seiber; many grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
