Shirley Glandon, age 90, of Clinton, passed away peacefully at her residence with her family by her side on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Born on June 19, 1935, in Anderson County, Tennessee, Shirley was the daughter of Alonzo and Eula Willis.
Shirley began her career at Hammer's Dry Goods when she was just 16 years old, dedicating herself to her work until her retirement in 2012. She was a devoted member of Sinking Springs United Methodist Church, actively participating in her faith community throughout her life.
As a lifelong resident of Anderson County, Shirley Glandon cherished her life living on a farm. Her love for travel was evident in the adventures she shared with her husband, Emil, creating lasting memories together. Shirley also delighted in cooking, often preparing meals for those she cared about, and treasured moments spent with her friends. Above all, she held her family closest to her heart, always valuing the precious time spent together as her greatest joy.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Emil Glandon, and her siblings, Audrey Daugherty, C.J. Willis, and Otto Willis.
She is survived by her children, Mark Glandon and friend Angie Becker, Renee Glandon Burnett & husband Dennis, Eric Glandon & wife Kim, and Gary Glandon; grandchildren, Vanessa Massey & husband Brent, Jessica Godbold & husband Michael, Nathan McCallister & fiancé Vanessa Hembree, Tiffany Burnett Phillips & husband Justin, Dillon Glandon & fiancé Breanna Grubb, Haley Glandon & her daughter Josie , Todd Burnett & wife Codi, and Sierra Poland & husband Lucas; great-grandchildren, Brody & Brennan Massey, Sullivan, Olivia, Rose, & Jude Godbold, Natalee and LiLith McCallister, Landon, Rylei & Duel Glandon, & Memphis Poland; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Her funeral service will follow in the chapel with Rev. Brandon Berg officiating. Shirley's graveside will be at 11:00 am, Friday, February 20, 2026, at Sinking Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Sinking Springs United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 209, Clinton, TN 37717. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
