Sharon Elizabeth Cason was born on July 13, 1956, to the union of the late John Sr., and Mary Scruggs in Clinton, TN. Sharon accepted Christ in her life at a young age, she loved the Lord and showed it through her heavenly voice. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and was a member of the choir and served on the Hospitality Committee.

Sharon was a devoted homemaker. Her passion was raising her children and grandchildren.  If you ever visited her home, you were more than likely served a fine meal. She was an amazing cook and loved cooking for her family and friends.

She departed this life on Monday June 28, 2022.

She was preceded in death by husband, Eddie Cason; grandson JaMichael Soles; parents, John Scruggs, Sr. and Mary Jasper; siblings; Barbara Everett, Bennie Scruggs, John Scruggs, Jr., and Robert Scruggs.

She leaves to cherish her memory 3 loving and devoted daughters; Rebecca Soles of Oak Ridge, Maurisa Hill and Melissa Soles both of Clinton; sisters, Debbie (Rev. Benjamin) Jackson of Knoxville, Donna Vernon of Clinton, and Susan Scruggs of Oak Ridge; brothers, Marvin (Sandy) Burum of Knoxville, and Rev. Ernest (Jane) Scruggs of Clinton. She was affectionately known as Nanny by her eleven grandchildren, Jamecia, Natia, Tamia, Kiana, Da'Mya, Trevon, MyNia, Joelisha, De'Andre, Dre'Quan, and De'Ondra; 5 great grandchildren, Raelyn, Jenesis, Paris, Drayce, and Royale. She was also survived by devoted nephew Harry Grate Jr. she was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to include lifelong friends, Ms. Cherry Ivy, and Ms. Joanne Dickey.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 9,2022 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church from 12:00-1:00 pm with funeral service at 1:00 pm and burial to follow at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery.
