Scott W. Minton, age 92 of Claxton Community passed away August 26, 2010 at NHC of Oak Ridge. He was retired from Y-12 of Oak Ridge and a member of Centerview Baptist Church of Concord.

Mr. Minton was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo Minton; parents, Harve and Jennie Minton; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Kaye Hughes; son in-law, Tony Nance; sister, Hazel Minton; brothers, Elbert, Andrew, Willie and Roy Minton.

Wanda Nance of New Tazewell

Sister..... Rosa Dykes of New Tazewell

Brother..... J. H. Minton and wife Ruby of Knoxville


5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 4 grt.great grandchildren

Special friends Charlotte West, Les McCarter, Tina Richards and all the girls at Flowers by Charlotte, David West and all the friends at Ciderville.

A special thank you goes to all the nurses and aides at NHC of Oak Ridge and Caris Hospice for the loving care of Mr. Minton.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 5-7:00p.m. at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will be at 7:00p.m. with Rev. Jerry Day and Rev. Tim Hopper officiating. Graveside service will be Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Bells Campground Cemetery.
