Samuel J. Dotson (Joe), age 59 of Clinton, went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2016. He was born on November 26, 1956. Joe was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Dotson. He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Cindy Hudson Dotson; sons, Joseph and Joshua Dotson of Clinton; mother, Mary Harvey; brothers, Gary and Brian Dotson and sister, Lisa Dotson all of Clinton; Joe's extended family in Atlanta, GA, Marsha and Alan Reagan, J.H. and Sheryl Hudson, Denise and Charles Guy, Claude and Michelle Hudson, Daniel Hudson and Melanie Hudson; great niece Rachel Garland, whom Joe and his wife were caregivers, he adored and spoiled her to the end; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his pal, Allen Ray.
Joe was a retired over the road truck driver. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed the television show Big Rig Bounty Hunters with Michael and Chad. But most of all Joe loved his family and friends and he will be missed dearly.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Covenant Hospice doctors, nurses and especially Erica for their dedicated care and kindness during Joe's time of need.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 19th from 11-12:00 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Chaplain Tom Rayford and Stacy Nichols officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamble.com
