Rev. Samuel Edgar Condon, age 92, was called to his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior on December 30, 2025.

Samuel was born on December 7, 1933, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He was the middle child of five children, with four sisters, as he grew up in Indiana.  He graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1951.  Following graduation, he enlisted in the Marines and served four years during the Korean War from 1951 through 1954.  Following honorable discharge from the Armed Forces, Sam gave his life to Christ and felt God's calling to serve in ministry.  He enrolled in Frankfort Pilgrim College and graduated with a ministerial degree in 1961.  During his education and training at Frankfort, he met the love of his life, Pauline Reed, and they were married on August 31, 1957.

Following graduation, the Condons accepted a calling to serve the pastorate at the Clinton, TN First Pilgrim Holiness Church.  This church merged in 1968 to become the current Clinton Wesleyan Church.  Reverend Samuel and Pauline Condon served as Pastor for this congregation for 38 consecutive years.  During his tenure at Clinton Wesleyan Church, he served in many capacities including the first District Youth President, the first District Youth Camp Director, and District Treasurer.  He was chosen to serve as the Assistant District Superintendent in Tennessee for 23 years, as well as serving on the Tennessee Board and Executive Board.

Throughout his ministry, Pastor Samuel Condon was a dedicated servant to fulfill his calling to help build the kingdom of God.  He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who served with humility, kindness and compassion.  Along with his devoted wife of 68 years, Samuel and Pauline committed their marriage and life to God and service to others.  Samuel retired from his pastoral service in 1999.

After his retirement from ministry, he worked for Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, TN for 19 years.  His interests and hobbies included playing golf, watching University of Tennessee sports as an avid Vols fan, working around the yard and doing handiwork about their home, and sharing precious time with his four daughters and their families.

Samuel Condon was preceded in death by his father (Harry Ellsworth Condon), mother (Emily Dodd Condon), and four sisters (Catherine, Mary, Ruth, and Esther).  Samuel is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Pauline (Reed) Condon, and their four daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn Sparks (Jerry Sparks), Darla Turner (Russ Turner), Charla Holbrook (Mike Holbrook), and Mary Sue Hamilton (Jeff Hamilton).  They are also survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 9 AM to 11 AM, followed by the Celebration of Life service at 11 AM at Clinton Wesleyan Church located at 821 Fowler Street, Clinton, TN.  Graveside ceremony will be held at 12:30 PM at Oak Ridge Memorial Park (1501 Bethel Valley Road, Oak Ridge, TN).
