Ryker
Jenkins
Jul 28, 2021 — Sep 26, 2021
Ryker Benedict Jenkins was carried into heaven by Jesus on September 26 th , only 60 days after his birth on 28 July 2021. Ryker had Trisomy 18, four holes in his heart, and only 1 and ½ lungs. He fought fiercely for every day of his life despite being rejected for care by the medical community at large. Many Trisomy 18 children are told they are "not-compatible with life", Ryker defied all those labels. His warmth and life on this earth was important beyond all understanding and he knew nothing but love and only gave love.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Bud and Ann Jenkins, David and Wanda Stephens, and Robert Dunn, his Grandfather Randall Stephens, and his Great-Aunt Johnny Darlene Jenkins. He is Survived by his loving parents Samuel and Mandy Jenkins, his Sister Brianna, grandparents John and Kim Jenkins, Cheryl Stephens, great-grandparents Doyle and Ruth Ann Shultz, and Camilla Dunn, and great Aunt Betty Barns. His aunts, uncles and cousins Noah and Hannah Jenkins and their son Jack, Abigail Jenkins, Alex and Audrey Stephens and their children Gabrielle and Charlotte. Johnathan and Rachel Stephens and their children Ellie, JD, Mari and Jim. Nicole Stephens. Rachel Soto. Joseph Stephens. Natalie Jones and her son Hayden. Ethan Stephens. Isaac Stephens. Haley Stephens. TJ Stephens.
Ryker's favorite hobby was to look around his hospital room and into the eyes of his loving family so they all knew how much he loved them. He also was always concerned for the babies in the rooms beside him and would look for them every time they cried or cooed.
