Ruth Gardner Augustine, age 88 of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at her residence. She was born on May 25, 1930 to the late Albert J. and Annie May Francis Gardner in Boston, Massachusetts. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and loved being at church when she was able. She lived a contented life of selfless love. Her family was her biggest blessing, especially her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was a very giving person who lived life to the fullest to the very end and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Frank Alexander Augustine; brothers, Osborne N. Gardner, Albert J. Gardner; and sister, Phyllis Gardner.

She is survived by: daughters, Nancy A. Hull and husband Jack of Oak Ridge, TN, Sharon R. Oestreicher and husband Mark of Clinton, TN; brother, Francis Gardner of Sarasota, FL; sister-in-law, Katherine Gardner of Arlington, MA; grandchildren, Holly Marie Oestreicher of Clinton, Jason Daniel Oestreicher and wife Rebekah of Houston, TX; numerous adopted grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other beloved family and friends.

Graveside services will be at the Franklin Memorial Gardens of Franklin Township, NJ on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 1pm.
