Russell Alvin Swanner, age 87, of Clinton, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at the University of Tennessee Hospital. Alvin was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton and a previous member of McCalla Baptist Church near Bessemer, AL. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. Preceded in death by parents, Russell and Mildred Swanner; sisters, Mary Baker, Virginia Swanner, and Jewel Owens.
