Ruby Lenis Neatherly Rosenbaum went home to be with her Lord on April 28, 2010 at Morning Pointe of Clinton. She was born August 11, 1911 in Shouns, Tennessee. She graduated from Watauga Academy in Old Butler, Tennessee. As a senior in high school she was asked to teach in a rural one-room school, but had to promise to take education classes at ETSU in Johnson City during her summer breaks. After World War II ended, she married the love of life, H. E. "Rosie" Rosenbaum and they moved to Clinton in 1954. She taught in Clinton City Schools at North Clinton Elementary School until she retired in 1976 after 41 total years of teaching. She had received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Tennessee in 1958. Her husband "Rosie" died in 1962.

She was an active, faithful member of First Baptist Church for 56 years and served as Church Librarian for several years. She had belonged to Anderson County Retired Teachers and Timely Topics of Clinton.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Smith and Ethel Neatherly of Elizabethton, TN.; and her sister, Ruth York of Colorado Springs.

She is survived by son, Ed Rosenbaum and wife Becky of Clinton;
granddaughters, Jenny Meredith (Tommy) and Robin Jordan (John);
great-grandchildren, Brandon Jordan and Catherine Meredith all of Clinton;
sisters, Georgia Osborne of Oak Ridge and Helen McKittrick of Colorado Springs, CO; special nieces and nephews, Rev. Patricia Reuss(Rev. Bob) of Oak Ridge, Joni Fair (Wayne) of Pueblo, CO, David Morley (Susan) of Venice, FL. and Richard Osborne of Clinton.

Visitation for friends and family will be 5:30 to 7:00 at First Baptist Church Clinton on Friday, April 30, 2010 with funeral following at 7:00 PM.

Private burial services at the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens in Elizabethton, Tennessee, Saturday morning at 11:00 AM. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
