Ruby Walton Rayfield, age 96, passed away April 20, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was born in Blackwater, VA on October 6, 1915. She graduated from Blackwater High School and attended Lincoln Memorial University. She was a member of Farmers Grove Baptist Church. Ruby retired from Miller's Dept. Store. She enjoyed gardening,sewing,going to church and "Grandma Ruby Day".
Preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Johnson and Vernard Rayfield; children, Shelby Richards, James Johnson and Sylvia Jane Johnson; parents, Jesse Bradley and Mittie Minor Walton; sisters, Stella Walton and Berta Walton Muncy.
She is survived by son in-law, Paul Richards; granddaughters, Anna Waldroup and husband Greg of Clinton, Paula Headrick and husband Greg of Clinton; great grandchildren, Kristen Headrick, Bradley Ray, DeAnna Waldroup and Lauren Headrick; sister, Ruth Jones of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 21st, from 6-8PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Joe Copeland officiating. Graveside service will be Sunday, April 22nd at 2:00PM at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamblefh.com
