Obituary


Ruby Athalene Patterson, age 80, of the Marlow Community, passed away at Methodist Medical Center on March 1, 2014. She was born in Anderson County to the late Ed and Lula Kesterson. Ruby was a lifelong member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church in Marlow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Archie Patterson; brothers Alvin, Clyde, and Ancil Carl Kesterson; sisters Anna Mae McMahan and Bonnie Jean Kesterson; sister in laws Wanda Walker, Louise Sylvester, and Bertha Edwards; brother in laws Fred Patterson, Billy Patterson, and Charlie McMahan.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 4th from 6-7PM at Poplar Creek Baptist Church in Marlow with a service to follow at 7PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th at 11AM at Poplar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Moore and Rev. Matt Reed officiating.
