Having achieved victory in a long time battle with a variety of ailments, Ruby Nell Foster Stair Blazer, March 10, 1929 -January 22, 2015 has departed this world for heaven to reside with God, her heavenly father and Jesus Christ, her personal savior. Born in Cornelia, GA Ruby (Nell) later moved to the city of Oak Ridge, TN where she eventually became a clerical worker for D.O.E. and the Manhattan Project in 1948. The contributions she made there to the U.S. WWII war effort are unknowable. Later she helped her first husband, Jim Stair establish WYSH, Clinton's First Radio Station, a community staple for over 54 years. Sometime later she went to work as a bookkeeper for Knox Quality Pools. Ruby Nell's last job before retirement was working as a professional care giver for the elderly. Charities to which she regularly donated included local law enforcement and Project Smile. Nell was a fiercely loving mother, sister, mother-in-law, friend, and grandmother to one grandchild, Adam B. Stair whom was the joy of her life. She loved landscaping, animals and shopping, family and laughter. Her recipe for meatloaf, dressing and chicken and dumplings are unparalleled. Ruby Nell is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Walter Foster; sisters, Ann Blazer, Carolyn Foster Overton; brothers, Leon, Travis, and Ralph Foster; beloved mother-in-law and friend Edith Bardill Stair; father-in-law, George Floyd Stair; beloved second husband, John Blazer.

The family will receive friends 5:00-8:00 pm, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Sunday in the chapel of Holley Gamble Funeral Home with Rev.
