Roy Rayfield, age 92 of Clinton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

Born on September 1, 1933, Roy proudly served his country in the United States Army as a member of the 4th Armored 50th Infantry, operating heavy machinery. Following his military service, Roy devoted more than five decades to the floor covering industry, building a reputation for steady, reliable work before retiring at age 65. He was a car lover and an avid hunter, often traveling out west to pursue big game.

In 1970, Roy made the decision that would transform his life, welcoming Jesus Christ into his heart. For the next 56 years, he remained a devoted member of Farmers Grove Baptist Church. Often stating "God loved me more than the devil hated me." These words reveal a man who understood that God’s love, grace, and protection were greater than any harm, temptation, attack, or destruction that evil intended.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Rayfield; parents, Ashley and Ella Rayfield; daughter, Vickie Lynn Adkinson and her husband, Gary; brothers, Vernard Rayfield, Eulas Rayfield, Oscar Rayfield and Lloy Rayfield; sisters, Grace Johnson and Nell Rayfield.

He will be greatly missed by his sons, Jeffrey Scott Rayfield and Roy Lee Rayfield (Yung); grandchildren, Ashley Kendall and husband Jason, Crystal Duncan, Min Rayfield, and Benjamin Rayfield; Autumn, Dustin, Kayleigh, Olivia, Neveah, and several other great-grandchildren.

Receiving of Friends will be from 12:00-1:00 pm on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Farmers Grove Baptist Church. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Bobby Metcalf officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Woodhaven Memorial Garden.
