Stair, Robert Burns, Age 86, of Clinton, passed away June 18, 2013. He attended Clinton First Wesleyan Church where he loved the people. He was a fifty year Mason and Commandery member. Robert retired 1981 from the Chrysler Corporation where he was President of the Local 372. UAW, in Trenton, Michigan. He returned to Tennessee where he enjoyed working on the farm. Robert was an unwavering witness for his Savior, always ready to share his faith in God. The Word of God was his constant guide as he 'fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith.' Words cannot adequately convey the deep impression of integrity, gentleness, sincerity, and compassion Robert demonstrated to all who knew him. Our loving father was a treasure to his children. Preceded in death by loving wife Alice Mary Stair; parents, George and Edith Stair; brother, George Wilburn Stair. Survived by sons, Michael Stair; Patrick and Debra Stair; Daughter Chrisanna and Richard Geier; Grandchildren, Nicholas and Nicole Geier; Brad R. Stair, Matthew S. Stair, and Rachel Geier; Brother, James F. and Eugina Stair, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 20th from 6-8 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. David Speas officiating. Graveside service will be Friday, June 21st at 10:00 AM at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton.
