Richard Lea Baker, age 63, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Oak Ridge, TN and was an avid University of Tennessee fan. His friends and family knew him by his constant wearing of the UT orange and white. Rick was the owner and President of Legacy Homes and Properties in Greensboro, North Carolina. He worked in the modular home business for over 35 years and served as sales manager and Vice President of several companies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Walter Richard Baker. Rick is survived by his wife, Susan Kelly Baker; daughter Angie Baker Tyner of Cabot, Arkansas; sister, Barbara G. Baker of Clinton, Tennessee; brother, Bob Baker and wife Jackie of Lancaster, California; granddaughters, Rheagan Tyner and Katelynn Tyner of Cabot, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Tracy Kelly Webb and her husband, Robert Webb and brother-in-law, Tony Kelly and his wife Beverly Kelly of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; special Aunts, Keniethea Martin of Candler, North Carolina and Veta Haile of Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
The family will receive friends 1-2PM Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow at 2:00PM with Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Garden.
