Retta Mae Hill Hickson, age 98 of Clinton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Sunday, January 12, 2014. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who had a loving heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. She was a charter member of Second Baptist Church since 1937 and taught children's Sunday school. Retta worked at Magnet Mills until their closing in 1966.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Gipson and Bessie Stooksbury Hill; loving husband, Eugene Hickson; son in-law, Melvin Tuck Mustard; brothers, Vaughn and Carson Hill; sister, Gertrude Stokes.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Golden Living Center, especially Diana and Melissa, for the loving care they provided to Retta.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 18th from 12-2PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will be in the chapel with Rev. Randall Jarnigan officiating.
